What are the factors that affect the machining structure of precision mould?
1. Cavity layout. According to the geometric structure characteristics of plastic parts, dimensional accuracy requirements, batch size, mold manufacturing difficult, mold cost and so on determine the number of cavity and arrangement.
2. Determine the parting surface. Parting surface position to facilitate mold processing, exhaust, stripping and molding operations, the surface quality of plastic parts.
3. Determine the casting system (shape, position and size of main gate, sub-gate and gate) and the exhaust system (method of exhaust, position and size of exhaust groove).
4. Select the ejecting method (ejecting rod, ejecting tube, ejecting plate, combined ejecting), and decide the treatment method of side concave and core pulling method.
5. Determine the cooling and heating mode, the shape and position of the heating and cooling groove, and the installation part of the heating element.
6. According to mold material, strength calculation or experience data, determine the thickness and external dimension of mold parts, external structure and all connections, positioning and guiding parts.
7. Determine the structure form of the main molded parts and structural parts.
8. Considering the strength of each part of the mold, calculate the working size of the molded parts.
If these problems are solved, the structure of the mold will be solved naturally. At this point, it is time to start drawing a sketch of the mold structure in preparation for the formal drawing.
